My clutch went after 2 days into a 10 day Alps trip earlier this month (just got the car back thanks to Britannia/IMA 'free' through my Nationwide Flex Plus account -excellent service).

Anyway after v. occasionally struggling to engage I replaced the master and slave cyl. before the trip (although 'strangely' the pedal felt alot heavier and after 2 days/1000m my spigot went throught the fork causing no clutch pedal movement (unfortunately only diagnosed when back in UK this week).

Had fork, spigot and all associated bits replaced yesterday and pedal still very heavy with occasional crunching when trying to engage first from standstill (all gears on the move OK) - I know this normally points to needing a new clutch or is it possibly relating to gearbox?

Thanks for those reading longish post and for any expert opinions.

Regards, Paul.

I am no expert but it sounds to me like the clutch isn't disengaging properly, which would mean a lack of travel.
