Following MOT failure on a ‘split’ dust cover on one of the lower ball joints I was going to replace the whole joint. Having looked at it, the split is very small and the ball joint doesn’t have any play in it so I’ve decided to defer replacement until the winter when I’m planning to replace both the top and bottom joints after I’ve painted the wishbones. In order to get through the MOT though I’ll need to replace the dust cover. When I was looking at the various known TVR parts sites to order the joints, I noticed one sold just the dust covers but now I can’t find it. Anyone know where I can get just a duct cover as a temporary fix ?

Thanks.

They just slip over and secure with the old metal clip or a small cable tie

Elected in the end to replace the joint. Ordered from Racetech. The old ones came out easy enough but i notice the new ones are a very tight fit into the wishbone. I can push it by hand about half way in and i reckon it will pull in as i do the bolts up but should they be that tight ? is that normal? Obviously i dont want to put the wishbone under any undue stress
