As per title my passenger side headlamp has fallen forward into pod. Have accessed back through inside of arch but can't see what holds headlamp unit in place.
Could anybody give me some advice.
Thanks
Nigel

There are wire spring clips that hold the headlamp in. They are an absolute bu&&er to get back on, but it is possible!

I popped mine out when fiddling one day. With some bits of wire, long nosed pliers, a lot of swearing and about 2 hours, I got it back in.

They clip round the rim of the glass.

Or at least they do on mine.

If you can't get it back in the alternative is pod removal. (I would give it a go from the wheel arch first).

Many thanks for the reply. I did eventually get the clips in place - as you say, a right bu&&er!!
My main concern now is why it fell out and will it happen again!

When I was assembling my pods out of the car one lens fell in; I thought s**t! what a job to do with pods in situ; I glued the wire clips to the glass with clear epoxy while pods were out; no more problems.

Pressing the connector back on the bulb can be enough to pop them out past those wire clips. Possibly the bulbs were changed, and the light was pushed enough that it didn't pop all the way, but was just waiting for a bump.

...yes, I had that fun experience too...

I am very careful with that connector now!
