Apologies if this has been done before.

Both wing mirrors on my griff look like someones been at them with a chisel. To say they're stone-chpped is an understatement.

Any ideas how much a moonraker black respray would be for just the mirrors?

And anyone know a good place in SE Wales/SW England to get them done?

Thoughts on Chips Away?

Or shall I just have a bash myself?

That's probably enough questions!

Cheers.

If you're competent enough then just do it your self. Getting them off is really the issue. As they are seperate from the car main body I doubt anyone would notice a slight difference in colour. I think it's something to do with the plastic/primer used. My S3 and my Griffith mirrors faired really badly whilst the rest of the car was ok. Even a small fly was enough to take a chunk out of the mirror paint.

Many thanks.

I think I'll give it a go, so long as I can get the damn things off.

Cheers.

Knowing what they are like to remove, I might just try painting in situ first!

Lots of news paper and masking tape. yes

You also run the risk of unplugging them and having one of the old Lucas connectors fail and a non-working mirror.
