1993 Motorshow Griff ?

I 'm trying to obtain information regarding L50 OVB reg Ocean Haze Griff, owned by me, I have been informed that it was one of the factory demo cars and was on display at the 1993 motor show. I'm still trying to obtain original reg no.

Whilst I couldn't conclusively say it wasn't there, if you google the Earls court show in 1993 what you find is a blue Griff which looks like, but I don't think is mine. I also have many magazines from that time featuring the show etc as part of my cars history and I cant see an ocean haze one in any of them either.
Is it the car you were selling at the growl?


just edited to add that I've just seen a pic of the TVR stand at the 1993 Motor show at earls court in John Tipler's book 'TVR The Complete Story' and although it's a B&W pic is does show the white Chim and a much darker than Ocean Haze coloured Griff in the background, probably confirms its the blue that comes up on google?

Mike, I do know that my car was at the factory and used by TVR as a demo, at the same time as yours, today I was told that it was in a picture from the TVR stand, that isn't confirmed but I believe they also had a stand at Geneva that year.

Yes it has been for sale for a while, but it's like a desert out there not one viewing, once I confirm that it was a factory demo or show car , I'll cosmetically restore it.

The only other car I'm aware of at the time other than Mikes blue L110 was L118BFV which was raspberry pearl so not sure about your 500.

I had no idea until someone told me they drove mine at the factory before the Motorshow and the only other car there was Mikes blue one, apparently it was a factory car.

It's more than possible it went to another show or very possible it was a demo car I would say as it's such an early build 500. Could be Frankfurt possibly but the Geneva show was back in March so it wouldn't have been that one? I think your chassis number says it was built in July, the month after mine. Have you looked at the date tag on the front crossmember? It's also quite close to mine by the chassis number itself(68 after) and the engine number(101 after).

I will need to do some "digging" there can't have been many cars registered before the 1993 motorshow.
I'm sure you couldn't even get a test drive that early.

I installed an app on my phone ages ago called "my car check". For £2.99 it tells you if a car has been stolen, insurance loss etc and also any plate changes.
That should tell you the original registration?
