Sure someone can help - is the sump drain plug metric (29mm I'd guess as my 25mm spanner is some way off) or imperial (1 1/8?)?

BTW, it's a '98 500, if it makes any difference.

I can tell you that the plug on my Wedge (which has a factory 4.3) is 1 1/8". Can't see why other variations would be different.

The Chim one is 29mm, if that helps smile

29/30mm is about right. If its a 500 you should be able to replace with a round head one with and allen key to adjust. Less likely to get knocked off on a speed bump.

Many thanks. Can't believe I didn't have a big enough spanner, a half hour job has turned into a 2 day job, by the time I've bought the right one. rolleyes
