Just agreed a deal with Tower View
)
Mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine
))
Reg transfer & service, ready for next week.
Ok, now Ive calmed down and done my little dance. Has anybody had Tower View's own damper units fitted? They use Gazz(sp?). 40 settings as opposed to Nitrons with 20 and cheaper. Anybody got either of their bigger brake set ups on? Either the 300's up front or the 300 4 pots all round? How monster is the stopping power?
Next bit...you can see where this is going cant you?
))
Anybody had Dick& Dom, sorry
Dom & Jamie (damn TV!) take a 4.3 out to a 4.5BV and rough cost? Before I go bugging them myself.
Retrimming. Who's re-trimmed their interiors. Cost?
Free first ride to whoever can guess who big, wide and cheesy my smile is right now

) The 520 is shod with the GAZ dampers and they are pretty good in my experience. Haven't broken them yet and the car is now posting times that some single seater drivers would be proud off!

Now there speaks a man Ill happily trust
Course if they are sh1tty you do realise , to paraphrase Bernie Ecclestone, "Ill wrap that bible round your bloody head"

Its a nice car, I suggest you don't even think about modifying it until you've got a chance to get used to it, and then only upgrade the things that affect you. There is little point upgrading the brakes unless you are cooking the existing ones. Even if you are, I would spend the money on driver training first since good technique can significantly reduce the stress on the brakes. Ditto suspension upgrades, find out how the car handles and whether there are any areas you want to improve before spending.

As Tower built your car and are plastered all over it you could be said to be biased.(mark is even in the bible, looking a bit younger) Only kidding! When are you going to start on the Cerb at the back of their garage?

Yeah, but thats why I trust them

The Cerb is waiting on bits at the moment. Got the new brake discs at long last but waiting for the callipers to come back from an AP rebuild. Several other new bits currently being made as well including a headlight kit that is a HID unit that can retrofit into any TVR. Dave has sorted something out apparently but I haven't been done to see it. Been told to take some shades...

I got my Griff retrimmed at AJ Trimming near Marlow. Andy did a great job. I think it cost around £1500 for everything except the seats. I seem to remember that they would have cost a further £500, plus probably an additional £250 for an extra hide.

I used Martrim in Cheshire - 01606 834480
It's who Christopher Neils (main TVR dealer) use. They did all my carpets and door panels (did those in contrasting alcantara) for about £600 (through C.Neils)
Superb job, better than originals.
