stainless exhaust

many, many thanks to all of you that replyed to my post on replacing a veneered dash - I'm sorted.
Exhausts - it's all in the sound track, I need to replace my exhaust, of course with a stainless one. Stainless exhausts are pretty bullet proof so would I be OK with one of the cheaper ones !!!. Is there any gains apart from decibels in having a sports exhaust -Steve Reids sports are cheaper than his standard ones.
Any experiences, recommendations, prices etc would be very much appreciated.

If you do lots of long journeys i would advise against a sports exhaust

If you're after noise, you may be disappointed with a sports exhaust - they aren't really that much louder.

The option is to have the baffles removed from a standard one.
