Hi All,
I can't remember who it was, but I was in touch with someone from here who had a Chimaera in Germany, but others may know.

I wanted to know if there was ever any issues or mods required to get a car approved for TUV and German plates when bringing over a UK car?

I know my 911 needed a rear light installed/swapped over..

Thanks in advance,

Bez

Bez,

if you keep your UK license you have to change the front lights to continental driving on the right. If you want to license your car in Germany there is a little bit more to do (front lights, rear return light and fog light), furthermore you need additional to your V5 documents a copy of the European type approval, if this is available for a Griffith, and a confirmation of insurance coverage to register the car.

Just contact the TVR Forum http://www.tvr-forum.de
or the TVR Car Club Germany http://wp.tvrcarclub.de/kontakt/
who will help you with a Griffith specialist in Germany.

Thanks Grantura, if only my German language was that good. Start lessons in a month, but that maybe too late. Maybe easier to keep the UK plates on it and a set of LHD headlights (are they easy enough to come by?), as it will be a seasonal car, I can probably get away with that.
