Sold the Aston yesterday
Managed to sort out insurance, and tax for the griff today, and thought right, finally I can have a little blast and get a feel for a TVR again....
Goes in the garage, battery condition disconnected... Key in ignition, turn it... Mmmm that didn't feel quite right

The bit that turns the ignition switch has snapped......ah well, its good to be back

Didn't anyone tell you those TVRs are unreliable

Come on Andy, you know another 4 post hoist is needed now!!!
I offered to buy it back off the chap that's got it now...... He told me to bugger off
......On the plus side, as said, its only a cheap vauxhall part..... And I got to open my tool box for the first time in 3 years...
This is a spanner and it will fix it won't it

Sorry, don't know how to turn pics.. Your little prezzie is in the mail Andy. As they say "If you can't fix it with a hammer then it's an electrical problem."

Can't believe you broke my car already chap.
Didn't take long did it
.....To be honest not sure why it happened, I've never broken a lock before, and just turned the key as normal...
Anyway.... No big deal, I've ordered a new barrel, and I'll swap he tumblers over so that I can use the original keys...

Hi Quinny, did you like the Aston Vantage? I missed your YouTube videos of all things Griff and the work you carried out! Do you intend to start them again? welcome back to Griffland, you know you love it really.... Regards, Pete
Hi Pete......YES I did like my Aston, in fact I loved owning it, it was a fantastic car, and a fantastic experience.... I've never ever driven a car with such road presence, the reaction from other people was 100% positive, people would move over to let you past, thumbs up all the time, big smiles and lots of comments....Also I've never drive a car that handles or brakes like the vantage... Absolutely awesome....
I tried to explain it to Ant (precat) and he didn't get it until he drove it.....his Griff is really well set up.... But even he had to admit, that the Aston handling is in another league.... I suppose that's 10 years of development in its favour...
The only thing lacking in the Aston, is rawness..... It's just so refined, and easy to drive... So easy that almost anyone should be able to drive it fast and not crash, its that good.....
And believe it or not.... That's what I missed about the Griff.... I missed that will it?? Won't it?? Break traction, whoops that was close feeling that you get in a TVR

All in all, I wish I could have both.... But being practical and sensible, means 1 nice toy is how it has to be..... So I've done the Aston thing, got it out of my system, and now its back to old school
