Hi Guys, as mentioned in an earlier thread I bought a set of Protechs a month or so ago whilst on offer. Now have the new bolt set (see my other post). So, as of New Years day Griff was up on axle stands and I am stripping the old shocks/springs out and the wishbones! Front now completely stripped, this afternoon and tomorrow the back. The bushes were replaced with poly types a couple of years ago so will reuse them (front ones still looked like new when removed). Once all out will have the wishbones stripped and powder coated (silver as per pre-cat original). I am also replacing the front roll bar drop links as the ones I took off were really awful. It will give me a good opportunity to clean bits and paint up chassis members and mounting points easily accessed. Shall start to post some pics of the job in due course. As a note, looks like my old shocks were originals (Koni), the date code on the two fronts is 92-02! Regards, Pete

Hi Simon, I rearranged the retrim for March as I wanted to take the Griff off the road to carry out winter work like the suspension refurb etc. It was quite fortunate that another member of the Mid Essex TVRCC wanted his Griff retrimmed so he took his in the week before Christmas when I was due to take mine in. All the best, Pete
