I had Pagid pads on my Passat. After 1200 miles, the friction part of the pad cracked and fell off completely!

Lost all pressure in the brake pedal, an had to pump the pedal a few times before being able to stop. Then had to replace the pads the next day.

They could well have been a bad pair, but I think i will steer clear of Pagid from now on, just because of this.

can happen to all makes I guess... I had EBC ones do the same...and years ago, some Ferodo pads actualy came un-stuck and the friction material fell off!.. that was scarey as you have no brakes at all!!

Pagid are OE on Alfa and some Porsche also... see how they go... they have a 25K gaurantee

Check they're genuine pagid when they arrive. No experience with that seller, but had a few fake ones.

See Pagid's website for details.

Thanks for the info.

EuroCar Parts are probably one of the largest suppliers to the trade, have found their service excellent. I suspect they bought a load and they need to get rid. Dont forget they fit many older Ford cars.

The pads certainly look OK and match the pic in the Bible. Worth a gamble at £14.34.

Pagid make good brakes covering all budgets but there is a vast difference between their top of the range brakes and these 'cooking' versions.

These will be fine for road use.

I think Euro Car Parts are being a little disingenuous at the were £89 price as no mention of the saving here

there is also another seller on e-bay at this price, but for 70p more I'd rather use ECP wink

As said above, they may be reducing stocks so have released a load at discount prices as I can't see many selling for Orions and Granada's any more smile

They're just standard Pagid pads, they're higher spec pads are of course more money, but they are superb, not always the greatest from cold in the higher specs though, but as these seem to be more standard road pads they should be fine. Ran my S on Pagid's (higher temp ones) for many years and nothing but praise for them.

I run my track Caterham on them now and they are just great, but these are track pads of course.

Nearly 3 years.... Fitted a set when I bought it, at 12k miles and another set just before I sold it at 25k miles...

There was some left on them, but I had a set on the shelf, and the new owner was a great guy so thought I may as well spend an hour fitting them for him

Regarding quality....there was only one part number offered, so that's what I fitted....loads of owners on the AM forum took advantage of ECP discount codes and fitted pagids...

Pagid race pads are the tricky ones, so Eg RS5/RS15/19/42 etc, but they do a basic brand for general road use which will be fine for that.

Pad number for CL is 4035, same as V6 Ford.

Cheers
