Having not started the Griff for 3 months and not actually driven it since September I got the car out tonight.

Drove th Z4C over to check it was just flooding yesterday, she started first go and on the spur I switched the car and got the Griff out.

The difference is night and day!

Compared to my 20 year old 4.0 Pre Cat the 3.0si is just no fun.

The Griff beats the Z4 on every front, even comfort, bar the heating and demisting and I'm going to fix these this summer.

Still not gotten to the bottom of the loose relay issue, but it was good to get the car out.

Maybe I'll even make it to the Growl this year!! Although I need to make it through another MOT first.

Oh no, not the Growl! Isn't the Growl bad luck for your Griff.

Glad you got her up and running again.

Chris wavey ... v long time no see....

wish mine would start on the key after 3 months .... mine I need to reconnect battery, considering one of them smart battery isolators.

Edited cos just read your other thread on eating batteries. Once you have sorted out running problems have a look at the doors pin switches and check they are being pushed in far enough. Found with mine they were turn the lights off, but not closing the interior light relay, and as such drawing power resulting battery FURBARed.

Fixed by fitting thicker strike pads to the door (took 4 years to work this out..... as when checking passenger side used to push pin in by hand)

Cheers Steve! You'll have to let me know when you're in or about London. It's been a while!

I'll have to check the door pads. I think I may have lost one.

At least she still runs. I've pegged this year for a bit of TLC on the Griff.
