I'm replacing all 4 ARB drop links as part of a body off and wondered which type are recommended as the best replacements nowadays? The car only gets road use and I don't want to introduce a maintenance issue if possible, just get something that works well and/or better than the originals.

As far as I see it there are the following:

Front:
OE
Uprated 1 Racing Green etc
Uprated 2 Leven

Rear:
OE
Uprated 1 Racing Green etc
Uprated 2 Leven

Any advice welcomed. Cheers.

I fitted the uprated RG ones front and back, and have been very happy with them. I had the SH ones previously, which were OK but they had started to clonk a bit.

I've had the RG's fitted for the past year.

Handle fine and no clonking but haven't used Leven or SH so can't make a direct comparison.

Cheers, I had heard that the SH rose joints used to wear badly but I recall they were exposed whereas all of the newer options are enclosed. That's one vote for the RG ones then.

One vote here for the Leven Technology drop links. Well, front ones at least as I only have a front ARB

I replaced my worn out Steve Heath drop links with these and they went on like they were OEM kit. Very very impressed with the build quality.

I bought the Leven ones too....they are fitted but still a bit to go yet until the body is back on.....so mileage on them is zero so far.

In round figures 50 quid a corner inc vat and delivery....prompt service and includes rose joint boots as mentioned above and stainless bolts...all assembled and ready to fit.

Both Honda and Ford parts are mentioned here - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... - for a fraction of the price.
