I noticed a bolt had fallen out of the undertray plate that is half way down the chassis on my Griff.

What type of bolt is it, its not UNF, UNC or a metric ? Did TVR have some whitworth or sommat lying about the place they decided to use ?

thanks

If you mean the exhaust plate, it is metric, plain M10 OTOMH

Nothing hard & fast as parts from various sources, so not really TVR's fault....

Generally
Bodywork - chassis Metric
Suspension - chassis Imperial
Engine Imperial (except odd new fangled EFI bits like plenum bolts, water pump pulley M8 ...??)

well I guess that's just part of the charm :-) and an excuse to have more tools (which is always a good thing).

To clarify it more for you:

1. Chassis Rail Fixings - M10 x 30 (25 will do)- 6 off plus large 30mm dia washers
2. Exhaust Mount Bolts - M10 x 60 (shanked bolts) - 3 off plus large 30mm dia washers

I have recently produced a group purchase a batch of new stainless plates/trays fo rour local Mid Essex TVRCC group - PM me if interested as I have a spare. Regards, Pete
