Naturally there is a requirement to blank off the UK dip to right for use in France.

with a griff where then light lens is not readily accessible, what do people do ?

Seriously, don't worry about it.

And its mid June, won't be dark until 10:30 at night

Nothing. Been twice and never had any issues.

Also if you have the standard 5" lights you can't dazzle anyone.... wink

I've taken a Griff to Le Mans at least half a dozen times, driven in France dozens more and never used beam deflectors, never had an issue. Been pulled over twice, once in a Griff (breathalising everone with a UK plate!) and once in a Subaru, the latter for dead headlamp bulb, the BiB never mentioned beam deflectors. I usually carry a set of sticky ones just in case.

So, don't worry about it.
