My 4.3 sump is very badly corroded - I'm going to replace it before all the oil drops out

Question is, does anyone know if it's a TVR special with extra baffling for hard cornering or just a standard Rover part - which would be a lot cheaper

Ta in advance

with mine suffering from oil surges, i think that it's a standard sump. I did read some where..prob the bible, details of someone who produces quality baffled sumps.

John Eales, V8 Developments and TVR Power all offer baffled/gated sumps .... about £200.

K77 - how do you know you're getting surge - does oil pressure drop on corners?

If its only happening to you on track days, I'll get a standard Rover sump 'cos due to p!ss-poor driving skills and lack of money I don't track mine
I've now been told by a main dealer the Rover sump is modified by TVR - presumably extra baffles added - and they couldn't give me a price on one straight away - £££ I should think.

Easiest is probably to get a second hand Rover sump and compare it with the innards of mine when I remove it. £200 for a race-spec one is a bit steep for my extra-deep pockets, now even deeper after new outriggers and a clutch

Cheers people

on most right hand bends (on tracks), mine suffers from a severe drop in pressure, to the extent that it has scared me a couple of times...mainly coming out of Lavant @ Goodwood. If you have pics .. drawings..dimensions etc that would be a great help in getting a baffled sump sorted
