Finally after 2 months my engine has been built by John Eales, a shiney new 5.1!

It is in the car and being put back together by Tower View.

not too sure about the JED dark blue rocker covers, I may change that later!

But the excitement is growing rapidly.

taking it down to Austec on Wednesday for Mark Adams to do his stuff and find out what it can do.

Dyno bench Figures so far

1000 revs 297 ft/lbs of tork

4000 revs 360 ft/lbs of tork

with all the standard kit on it, but all my other goodies are going on as I type this, including.

ACT double plenham
de precatted exhurst
big injectors
bosch air flow meter

to name a few

Look forward to the results of that one smirnoff, that is serious torque, i assume it has a high torque cam and i guess JE heads ?

He reworked my heads totally, so they are to his spec, and yes I have one of his 218 cams in there.

I am glad you are about because Mark has told me that my new gasket and throttle pot should arrive tomorrow, hopefully you have sent it!!

he couldn't get enough fuel and air in to dyno it over 4000 revs!!!!

I am at Austec for midday, wednesday so as I know you are near by if you want witness the results please come along. Actually you could take a look at the sticky throttle return on your plenham.

Yes I should be there next week.
The sticking was due to a "tit" on the throttle pot that needs to be sanded / cut off, if the throttle pot isn't totally square it will bind on the shaft.
