Glovebox full?

Of water that is, car was sat in heavy rain and found an inch of water in the glove box. Trying to trace the source, it seems to be dripping from front of dash, along electrical cables and in from there.

Windscreen seal seems ok, could it be the strange vent under mesh at the base of screen/top of engine bay?

Anyone else had this? pointers would be a big help.

Not a bad shout Paul, The irony......it stopped my wipers working! so you could be right.
Now it's dried off I can pour water in and see if it drains through.

Talcum powder is best, easy to see traces.
