Anyone had the rear Toe adjusted ? The beast feels a bit over steery, I suspect that the toe needs adjusting.

Had this done on my Chim a few years ago just after I bought the car. Very oversteery before and was found to be towing out at the rear.
Had it set to 1 degree toe in and it transformed the car, so worth doing.

Every Chimaera or Griffith needs to be four wheel aligned, which includes the rear toe adjusters. Completely transforms the handling IMHO. Cost about £90 at the TVR specialist who looks after my car. They have a Hunter machine as mentioned above linky It costs a little more if he has to take your rear wishbones apart to free the toe adjusters off.

One reason TVRs have a reputation for being dangerous is that they are very sensitive to the set-up being correct/in-correct. Mine was trying the kill me the first four weeks I had it. Told my TVR guy, he checked the ride height and dampers and did the four wheel geo and it totally transformed the car. The front end was way out because the selling dealer had had to change the track rod ends for the MOT, and hadn't bothered to get the wheels aligned, and the rear was simply incorrectly set up.

Hints - get it done by a TVR expert, not Kwik Fitup. He will check over your dampers and re-set your ride height before even starting the geo, thus saving you £££s having to have it done twice. He will also know the correct settings, and how much to adjust those settings if you do track days ("more camber, vicar?") coffee

Get the geo set up by a TVR specialist.

Gugliielmi, Tocats & Str8 6 are in your neck of the woods.

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated, where would we all be without PH !
Guessing the toe is miles out as it's very over steery at the mo.

However, I have had previous alignments done on two 911s by so called specialists, never again, so looking for someone who isn't a bodger / cowboy.

Unfortunately not that close. I used to live in West Norfolk, and still go to the same guy, Mat Smith Sports Cars in Downham Market. He's very good, but it's a 200+ mile drive for you. I still work in the Cambridge area, so less of an issue for me.

There is a TVR specialist in Newark on Trent, Willow Sports Cars, but I don't know if they have the Hunter kit.
