I've lost power to my fans, I've checked the usual stuff fuse relay etc, the pink wire has power leaving the fuse box when the fan switch is on but nothing at the fans, If I put a positive wire direct to the fans and they work so the earths ok.
Is there any connectors where the loom goes through the bodywork

Spend is right those connectors are notorious for failing. The copper strands of the wiring also corrode badly.
Before investigating connectors at the bulkhead try and check if the supply is reaching the plug by carefully inserting a pin through the insulation of the pink wire about 2" before the plug, you may be lucky!

Yes I get 12v at the fans with a meter but disapears under load, so high resistance somewhere.
So if its only under load what makes you so sure that it's not the ground / connection? You need to be really careful using several test points before jumping to conclusions, and you haven't definitely qualified that in your posts (eg. use an engine ground on the meter when testing and probe the loom side of the connector for +12v not the fan side). Sorry to be pedantic but there have been 1000's of probs with connector & ground but I don't recall any with the big pink supply apart from relay / shorts at fusebox end, and would hate to set you off on a wild goose chase
TBH the 'bunched' grounds crimped all together onto the ring term under the rad are far more likely to cause problems than the 'big pink' circuit, providing the fan connector is not the issue.
