Access to windscreen washer pipes behind bulkhead

MOT time and I have a leak in the washer pipes behind the bulkhead. Have read here previously about access to the pipes through the hole containing the wiper spindles. Can someone please talk me through the process of removing/ refitting the spindles please and any hints on fixing the leak/ replacing the pipes. The drivers side spindle on mine does not want to drop through the metal perforated panel without what appears to be undue force, which I don't want to apply until I know I'm on the right track.

Any help appreciated.

Not done what you are doing but been working on the wipers, from what I can understand that area is accessed through the air distrib box, not sure you will get the spindle to drop through without taking the wiper drive rack out first.

I would mark up and remove the bonnet catch so that you can drill a 1" hole between the mounting bolts...and get a grommet to fill the hole with. Have available both pieces of pipe (lots of) and both nozzle fittings and T piece to replace if needed.
You need a piece of welding rod (I use alloy) and through this hole you should be able to hook the T piece, (retain it up somehow to work on it) pull the pipe off the T piece and super glue a piece of thick wire into the pipe you are replacing and then pull the nozzle fitting out of the grill and with it should come the pipe AND your wire drawn through, and do the same with the new pipe and pull that back through (repeat for the other IF you loose a pipe, use the welding rod to loop across from hole to hole) Then mimic the new fittings to suit, connect up and press through the grommets in the grill leaving the pipe fittings sticking out...refit the 2 pipes to the T piece.

Have ordered 4mm tube, T piece and straight connectors to use if/ as required. What are / where can you get the nozzle fittings you mention?

Adrian, I'm not wanting to fall out over this but, your obviously very knowledgeable in tvr's, you post relatively infrequently, but when you do its of a nature that its very informative to other tvr owner's, and will be of value further down the line when some other unfortunate has issues that you have helped resolve, as I say its your choice entirely whether you post or not, and delete or not, but once you have posted its in the public domain and really i can't see how you retain control of it, I'd hate you though to think that its a restriction on yourself and that you would rather not post in the first place,that would be counter productive on a forum board such as PH but I'm not as subtle as you would like me to be ....so I thought it was a good idea to preserve that piece of information.
Unfortunately I won't be at the growl this year, as for the second year in succession my shifts prevent me attending, and as I'm not in a position to retire that takes precedence.

Best washer nozzles I've found (after years of searching....) are ones from a Mercedes Sprinter van.
These are about 25mm long and 12mm square and just clip on the wiper arm flat section.
They are fitted with 4 jets, all fully adjustable, and the washer pipe can be fed down the washer arm and through the middle of the spring. Very neat installation.
Sorry no photo but busy packing for Le Mans classics (my red Griff will be on the French TVR club stand in the Bugatti circuit).
I bought these on fleabay from a guy in Poland but definitely the way to go.
Combine these with 13" flat blade wipers and Bob's your uncle

That looks a top tip if they work. Presumably you've tried them because they look like they may point in the air rather than on the windscreen. Pete

And that depends on them not snagging on the wiper blade Shirley......

They do look a top tip and well worth a bit of fiddling with to get them working

Agreed, that is an interesting tip as the ones I have on at the moment are marginally better than TVRs but still pretty poor.
