Could anyone tell me were the heater matrix unit is and how easy it is to access?
What is the purpose of the leather flap at the front of the inner wing?
Is there a better way to get the venting to the car other than the silly fan in the wing trying to blow up the inner wing ie has anyone ducted it?
Has anyone come up with a better way of controling the shut off valves for the heater other than the units fitted as standard?

They all do that sir... Its not surprising though really, considering you're practically sitting underneath a huge V8. Trying to get cool air past such a hot engine and into a confined cabin is always going to be problematic. Things got a little better in the 500's with the extra blower, but not much.I wouldnt by-pass the heater especially at this time of year. You will have trouble de-misting the car too.
On my Chimaera the set up was as follows:
The the heater matrix is contained in a black box in the passenegers side footwell. If you stick your head in the passenegers side footwell and look up you will see it. The hotwater pipes can be seen too. I wouldn't touch the black box or the heater matrix at this stage. If your heater is not working properly then I would suspect that could be an issue to do with the heater valve which modulates the hot water supply. Its a plastic valve which is cable operated. The valve itself is mounted in line on the hotwater pipes. Check that its not gummed up and jammed open and that the cable is opening and closing it correctly.
