6000 miles later

Can anyone recommend a specialist anywhere near Maidstone Kent?
I last had my Griffith serviced at Walldonway, but whilst having no complaints, feel that I could expect the same quality service at half the price, if I were to go to a specialist!
Anyone help??

Luckily you'll find that you don't need to be tall to service a TVR - so Dave should still be a good choice.........

RAVEN - Very good 12k service, and Brake replacement, knowledgeable. Gatwick - not that far from Kent - I live in Ealing and come home on th train when service is needed.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'll have to make a few enquiries at the weekend! Both garages are roughly the same distance away for me, but may edge towards David Batty just so I can see what you guys are talking about!

.....the guy at kings in warwick servicing dept didnt sound like he wanted to touch my car...and quoted...wait for it £702.91.....is this too much?...

....TMS in Melton really sounded polite, helpful and said they would call me back...overall the guy wanted my business........

.....my point being that i dont mind paying for a first class service....but i get the impression that because there selling expensive cars, they have the right to talk down to you and look as disinterested as possible...esp. if you have a plain monotone leicester accent as i have.

.....im a bit dissapointed...i was really looking forward to spending some time around the leamington area...nto that the drive to melton isnt full of twisty country roads....hummm....

To give you an idea, Offord (near Cambridge) quote £199 + VAT. They're not 100% perfect but you can make your own mind up!

700 quid. FFS . To give you a comaprison, my last 6K service was 450 at Mole Valley (Redhill) who are not known for their low prices!
Its away at peninsula at the mo' for a 12K. Basic price 300 using my own oil. Few other bits to be done as well

Thanks for the information grasp, simpo one and Leadfoot...........But i did go to bed with a bad feeling regarding naming KingsTVR of Warwick....

....i spoke to one person from their company...and even though that individual wasn’t "on-the-ball"... i feel that i cant judge the company on him alone...

..............But £702.91.....phew!


....Tracy@TMS rang me back promptly and was most helpful, said i could have a Volvo as a service car and told me they'd pamper my tiv....but again £540 including vat.
