Calling SE drivers
Discussion
I've got some Cerb seats for my 92 Griff but when I've plonked the passenger seat in the 'clunk/click' bit of the seatbelt can't be seen. It's stuck between the seat and the tunnel.
The drivers side has a much longer clunk/click bit which I'm assuming will be OK.
As the SE had these seats in, I wondered if anybody can enlighten me what the seatbelt fixings are like?
Thanks
Ian
Oh by the way, I will post up the before/after pics once the seats are in. I'm charging my camera for the occasion now so watch this space.

Do a search on this one Baretti, it was covered before in quite a bit of detail if i remember correctly, including where to get them from.
Basically there are two sizes of clip thingy, one short and one long cabled. It seems totally random which is fitted to which car (mine had two long ones), but you can swop them quite easily.

Thanks Stringbag. I'll do the search, see what comes up then.
If anyone is interested in Phase 1 of this - getting the seats recoloured - the links below will take you to photos of the operation being performed today.
Phase 2 will be when they are fitted. I'll post more photos when I get to that (soon!)

Hi Ian,
So did they just spray the Seats? Is it a one time job or will they need doing again in the Future.
Also would be happy to do a page on the Griffith pages on how you changed the seats as it would make another interesting page for future reference and for others to see how its done. let me know if you woul dlike to.
Maggit- You sorted them pics of Wol out Yet???? or you still haveing trouble with that new camera

More like having trouble getting a day with enough sunshine/clean car/not at work. I'll see what I can do over Christmas. In the meantime, you can always raid Jamers site (iykwim)

Hi Simon, I was going to drop you a line. Thanks for all your help and advice after I 'lost' my Griff.
I am always happy to oblige with photos of anything I work on. It seems we are like-minded and both like to create archives for future reference.
I'll email you the pictures directly rather than through Fotango so you don't get the logos and good quality.
I'll probably be fitting them over Christmas. I'll let you know when it's all done and I have the pictures.
If you want anything specific whilst the seats are out and I have easy access let me know.
Sorry Simon, I've only just realised I didn't answer all your questions - doh!
Yes, they do just spray them. With a very small compressor and an airbrush like you would use for an airfix kit. But if it's good enough for a Ferrari dealership it's good enough for us eh.
They are treated with a feed after and you should let them 'cure' for 24hrs indoors.
That's it.
The thing that buggers them is what you wear to sit on them - obvious really - but what I didn't realise is one of the worst things is a leather belt. Leather to leather takes off the colour almost instantly.
Fitting them tomorrow. Camera is charged at the ready.
Watch this space.

The last of the photos will be taken tomorrow. Sorry for the delay but I ended up generally tinkering and didn't put the seat in until last thing and I haven't had good enough light to get the last of the pics.
I'm still stuck with the seatbelt 'clunk/click' bit though. The short one I have just won't do. I need the longer version which is 18" long.
If anybody who installed harnesses has a spare one of these please please please drop me a line.
I can only find Securon who sell them but not in less than 100's !!
