I am officially suffering tremendous withdrawl symptoms ...

I even thrashed a 928 Auto about to day just to get a fix of V8 ......

Reflecting on the previous year it has been the worst of 5 yrs of ownership, depressing really

No car for Le Mans due to the engine having to be completely rebuilt .... although back better, it was away for 5 months in total. That's long enough to be parted from your car, but the real twist came in October.

Having put 1003 miles on the new engine and 400yds away from Tower View to have a new PS pump fitted, Mr Uno decided to do this to my car ...

Big thanks to Tower View for putting in emergency repairs so at least we could use it in the Loire 7 days later ...

The previous holiday in Scotland had to be done in the Clio, not what we had planned.

At least the planned respray to sort out these......

.... is going to be 1/2 the price.

So that once again it can look like this.

So out of 12 months of 2004 I have had the Griffith to use for 5 1/2 mths.

Positives have been ....

Rogers book, thankyou Roger, top book !
New Nitrons, only got 2000 miles on them, but they are great.
New AP calipers ... waiting in workshop.
Great trip to the Loire.
Le Mans was fantastic, but lacked a certain something.

So I am sure you can understand why I need to post pictures, just to remind myself of how great the car is so that I don't get to used to life without the Griffith and decide to sell it. I am usually 15000 miles plus a year and this year I have still managed 6000, but it's not enough as its usage is bound to go down anyway....

So here to a happier New Year for me and a great one for all of you, let's hope none of us are put through another year like this !!

Thanks for your support, messages and help through the year.

If it wasn't for a certain BB chuckling at my misfortune every time I see him I think I may have cracked up, cheeky fecker, next time I won't tell you what happened in your garage !!

Yep, Im a fully paid up member of the sh1te car yr also.

Had the MG blow a rear, so replace them. Fronts knocked out of alignment and had to replace them. The head gasket blew, new one of those. Finally a petrol tanker hit me head on and destroyed it.

I had to a buy a Grif to cheer me up Replace alt. in first 2 weeks.
Home this week, in the garage and...cant find any gears ( Found some, drove her out...and all works fine

Happy New yr y'all

Sounds like a sticking clutch, DJC. You are obviously not using her enough!

Andy,

Good news is what I need at the end of this year !!

This is atually a picture of Shnozz's rocker covers but mine are just like these, just in better condition. I would obviously clean them and give them a little bit of a polish first ...

I saw your new engine comes with the absolute dream rocker covers as far as I'm concerned, but some in any condition would be good !!

I am also forced to remind you that I work for a brewery and have free beer , it's what they call a bonus calculator for our possible business relationship
