Electricals falling out....

..of the passenger footwell occasionally.

Anyone else have the same problem? Basically, if I accellarate hard (not often in Winter) the electrical gubbins from in front passenger footwell pushes the carpet down and falls out. I've just popped all the gubbin back in - any better ideas to stop it happening?

Sit them down and give them a stern talking to, tell them to play nicely or they'll be sent home.

My carpet is fitted to a piece of board that is a really tight fit. The only thing I can think of is to make another piece of board (a tighter fitting one) and stick the carpet to that.
Then you can pull it down, push it up whenever you want.

My carpet kept falling down exposing the electrics so I glued some velcrow to it.

Yep mine does this. On one occation it was followed by the battery !!

I've been trying to tidy things up in here. There is a clip around part of the loom that was loose on mine, I've now fixed it to the airbox. I've also strapped it together with some velcro cable wrap.

Been thinking about making a second fuse/relay box to take all this and mounting it under there.

Anyone else done this or have any thoughts ?

I just pack it in carefully with the ECU on the top, the relays etc to the side along with a big red plug for jump starting.

having grovvelled in the footwell several times, I quite like the fact that the ECU comes out and you can get to the connectors.

Gaffer tape and cardboard. Cheap, effective, infintitely modifiable (eg when fiddling, or when in a hurry to get to battery). Entirely in keeping with original build quality,
