Sorry guys but a slightly different twist on the old candle power question....

I have the extra power wiring for the off-side headlamp but still not that happy

So are the SE lights much brighter than the old ones?

(& before you multi headlamp conversion boys start i want to keep the single light, sorry just prefer original look )

No ..... We have 7" and the originals are 6.5", with the same wiring.

I have David's upgrade wiring and uprated bulbs and it's still not enough. David's kit is good, but th original lights are shit.

Bs i thought the difference was more & was hoping a bigger reflector would make enough difference to warrant them...

With the upgraded wiring you could fit more powerful bulbs, wouldn't be legal but would achieve the result you want. Rich...

I have my old pods kicking around, i will see what can be fitted, Deemon Tweeks sell quite a range of posh jobbies, i see. Or you could go gas discharge, but be sure to tell insurance company as they are not "E" marked, my insurance co was fine. Anyroad up, is it the dip only ? cuz mains could be quite easily swapped.

I would say that it will be different, on main with the SE, you would have four full beams, rather than 2 dip and two mains! I have to say my lights (hella) are excellent, on main i have two dips and four mains. On dip, two elipsidals, really sharp cut off. But of course if you dont like the Tuscan style on the Griff, absolutely no use me saying all this. I do not have much time at the mo to investigate bigger ligts in the standard pod, but if you want to borrow one, let me know.
