Has any one got any thoughts on brake pipe fixings to chassis other than the cable ties. Did see some clips like a stick on pad but with cable tie holding it on but can't find it now Thanks richard
I had some thoughts but it hadn't gone much further than that and to be honest I was planning to use cable ties again on my rebuild but now you lot have given me a lot of ideas on the various threads. I'm not sure I want to drill any more holes in my chassis so those last lot look handy but you say they are "pricey", how much and do they come down in price if you buy in bulk because if so, I'll have a load off you....? Pete
The ones I highlighted are indeed the 'wrong' way round, the ones Richard has found look to be too small to take even a small brake pipe, let alone a fuel pipe,
these are 19 x 19 mm (and cost $ 0.20....)

so probably correct(-ish) and required two cable ties plus I would install a rubber sleeve and a third cable-tie over the whole install.......

Brake pipe about same diameter as a cycle brake cableLooks like the tie wrap is intended to hold the cable (or whatever) into the clip but guess it could be turned around to "assist" the self adhesive?
Only £2 each

ETA .... bit cheaper on Ebay

Just don't see why these are to be so expensive ...

Wouldn't the neetest solution be rivnuts and 'P' clips ?
I'm not sure what Richard (Griff 200) who started this thread is planning but I am already drilling my chassis to get it galvanized, perhaps a few more holes with stainless rivnuts wouldn't matter but I am not sure I fancy drilling after it has been galvanised, which means I have to think about pipe runs before I send it off. With rivnuts there are plenty of options looking at the threads before this.
Hmmm.....! More things to think about. Pete
