Routine service items....

I can almost guarantee that it's not washable cos it's impregnated with oil (to grab hold of the dust I guess). I have no idea what other vehicles it's used on, but I bought mine from David Geralds (twenty something pounds). They'll send it through the post. Pretty easy to fit (mine's a 94 Griff 500)- takes about half an hour.

early cars definately have different filters to later cars-not sure if theyre foam or paper, but they are a different shape.the later ones are foam, and as such are washable, but its a pig of a job to get all the crud out,the filter gets very dirty and its already oiled,so its pretty sticky as you can imagine.i did mine on my last griff as an in between services thing using lots of washing up liquid to get all the grease out.dont forget to lightly re-oil before you replace it.
