Ok I am in a bit of a dilemma now do I change my Seats ( one needs a repair) or fit different ones if so what options do I have ? Your input welcome :-)
Or do I get my originals modified ie better side support head rests embroided TVR have the leather quilted etc ? I am sure there are a lot off ways to go ,
What are my temptations oh the seats are biscuit colour .
Thanks

Tuscan, tamora, cerbera, sagaris all fit if you can find them and stomach the huge cost some of them are, all are more supportive and will sit you slightly higher than the originals if I recall, my cerbera ones are nice but I would love some Tuscan seats with colour coded shell's.
Then there are aftermarket seats from many places and other cars, lotus seats seem popular.

Lotus Elise seats are nice. I have them fitted to my S. Esprit seats are also a nice fit.
I did see a set of Suzuki Capucino seats on the evilbay the other day that looked suitable.
Finally, MX-5 jobbies. I did try a set of mk3 MX-5 seats in my S but they were too high for me. Could have moddified the base but choose to sell them on unmolested.
Not a fan of my Tamora's seats on the track but I think that is in part to them being full leather.

Hmmm my best option is Mazda mx5 theirs plenty of cheap cloth ones about , I have been quoted five hundred to fully cover them in quilted biscuit hide ? So I might go for that !!
The other option would be to have the originals done but get bolsters fitted for support ?
Opinions please.

The std Griff seats are simply bloody awful, the shape of seat back is completely wrong, it used to torture my back. Throw them over the hedge is my advise !
Then one day I stumbled across a Tuscan in a breakers that had been rolled, an hour of agg and £20 pounds later the seats were mine ! Both head rests had been pushed down in the accident and the back of the drivers seat was bent. I straightened out the top of the passenger seat and with a bit of agg ( yet again ) i fitted it to the Griff. And what an improvement. Far better driving position and good lower back support.
The seat is deeper than the orig Griff one, so I now sit probably 2 inches ? Higher, but I feel much more involved with the car now.
Nice neutral 3, however like hens teeth I cant find any !! think I am now going the Mazda mx5 mk3 route , Lighter and more supportive than the Griff just a modification to the rails to do but when you have a whole fab shop to yourself its not a problem
I shall do some before and after shots if anyone is interested to see how the go ?

Have a look at Intatrim's website - Odessey II I think are the ones, though they have several styles that might suit. They will make them two tone in leather if you wish (ignore the pics that show mono-tone), and the prices are very reasonable (under £500 a pair). A number of Chim owners have bought them, if that doesn't put you off. They will also do TVR logos for a few quid - just ask. I would recommend toddling over to Telford to have a look and sit, prior to buying, if it was me.

I've got MX5 ones in my Chim so I assume they would fit straight in a Griff?, really cheap, about £90 for a pair in a faded tan leather colour so it was about £70 or so for the furniture clinic colour kit and they just use the existing runners.
You can remove some original foam and you get much better support. Some people don't like the look of them because of the speakers in the headrest but it's probably the most enjoyable modification i've done because you can actually hear music when the roof is off. People always say you don't need a stereo with the engine soundtrack but I think it gets boring quickly on long runs

I opted for the cloth no speakers but was tempted into getting these ?You can remove some original foam and you get much better support. I just recoloured them using the furniture clinic kit, quite easy to do and really effective.
