Good evening,

after refiting the middleconsole(whaletail) the air vent don´t work.
the led of the air vent is working. and the three (of four) switches
to adjust the air are working. can hear them work in the passengers footwell.

Do you mean the flap that chooses fresh air/recirculate air? If so this is the motor position, next to where the battery would be. Suggest you check connections and fuses.

Hope this helps.

No,that Motor is working. What is not working is the blower(if its the right word for that) so no air is comming out of the dashboard.
will check tomorrow the conection under the heater pannel.

the heater fan (if that is what you mean) is in/under the the RH cavity for the headlight, reachable by removing the lower radiator grill

Hope this helps

I think you will find that the blower motor is only under the headlight on Pre-Cat models.

I don't have a pic. of later models but there is a description here..........

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... second and fourth posts from the bottom.

Apologies if you already know this but to make the blower/fan motor blow (on my car at least) you need to first push the blower/fan knob in and then turn it to adjust speed.

Hello,
sorted the Problem. Took the heater pannel off And found a broken "welding" on a connection. As shown on the pic. All in and fitted back. And it works.
Thanks for you support.

Pleased it was something simple to repair. At least you won't have to look for the elusive motor.

By the way, does anyone have a pic. of exactly where this motor is?

Yes this would be great if anyone has this pic!

I too need to investigate why my heater fan is not working, quickly checked fuse last year and was fine but haven't really done any further investigation works yet...
