New Pete dash fitted

Following on from Pete's dash thread I managed to get out and take some better photos. The fit and finish is brilliant and best of all I can press the switches without fear of them disappearing inside the dash and without the awful flex of the original.

Very shiny, Pete said he used 7 coats of lacquer, and I can believe it...


Thanks again Pete, awesome product, combining clever design and craftmanship. I checked through my receipts and your superior dash was cheaper than the last replacement I had from one of the usual dash suppliers less than 4 years ago which had to come out 3 times to re-glue the buttons and has already cracked.

The wooden dash looks so much classier that the ali one. And l'm not being biast as l have an ali levern one already but would have wood anyday .

Steve, I have a new list going for the next batch, your name is on it. I intend to start the next lot in the Autumn as I want the Summer free to enjoy my Griff. The dashboards are very time consuming so I need to plan in carefully.

I am also making a short run of swirled aluminium type dashboards (had three enquiries), same principle of laminated layers with mechanically fixing all done on back layer.

I personally prefer the wooden dash as well but I did very much like the turned ally version that came with my Griff originally. I almost made a decision to go back to it as I was getting bored of keep replacing cracked veneer dashboards, mine lives outside and is subjected to cold winters and hot summers so they do not last very long. I never had an issue with ally one. Pete's new design will hopefully resolve my cracked veneer issue.
