We've managed to wear a pair of Bridgestone SO3s out in 4 months (5k miles) + whatever Beano500 used them for. Is this normal?

What do people recomend as replacements?

The Bridgestones worked very nicely but they don't seem easy to get

What do people think of Toyo Proxies? I think they are excellent on the Impreza, but am unsure on the Griff.

Do Goodyear do an F1 for the Griff? What's it like if they do? (Again, this tyre works wonders on an Impreza)

Transport to Micheldever costs about £60 and a day off work for me, so it had better be a good deal!

Oh - it's you!

I saw "Tyre recommendations" and went SO3, SO3, SO3!!!!!

I stuck with them (there was a lot of debate a few years ago when the SO3 replaced the SO2 and loads of people said they were parc) because, as you know, I found the wear rate reasonable and the feedback really good - better than the SO2s they originally came with.

Once managed to misread my tyre gauge and drove them significantly over-inflated. didn't make that mistake again!

Eagle F1 GSD's are usually highly recommened on PH. According to most surveys/tests they're teh best in the wet, not far from top in the dry. Oh, and they also have a nice tread pattern
I have the previous version F1's on my Griff and they are superb.

Looks like I'll carry on with the SO3/F1 hunt.

I don't want to have to travel half the length of the country for them and they won't last until the Virginia Water meet.

Tried black circles - no SO3s listed on the website (waiting for email)

I'll have to organise a meeting on the mainland so I have an excuse to get a car over there...
