Noticed this on the classifieds and couldn't help feel the sadness.

It's almost like saying goodbye to a dying dog (pet)Your best friend.

I can imagine him thinking "It's been great knowing you"

Of course I might me wrong,he may just be standing there but I'll go with my theory.

And yes a Chim owner is checking out the Griff classifieds... But I was also checking out Ferrari California's (as you do) and I'm not buying one of those smile

You will never hear bad things said about the Griff from me Simon.

It was the car that gave me passion for TVR's twenty + years ago when on the front cover of a magazine.

Still not convinced their worth 2x a Chim though Si tongue outbiggrin

As a very proud Chimaera owner one thing did occur to me,,,,,,
During the early 90's I do remember seeing the odd Griff and also hearing that Tvr had got it right with the Griff, peoe would say that it was a great car,,,
So in a way I think the Griff is the car that had me semi believing way back then that we Brits and Tvr could make a glorious product,,
To my mind the Griff settled peoples nerves and the Chims sales was proof of that,,
Both cars are the best Tvr made,,,,, maybe the Cerb too but hey.

Modern Tvr wouldn't have existed without the Griff so we all owe a dept to the car,,
They do look good don't they. Alun

When they first came out, at my main client the MD swapped his Morgan Plus 8 for a brand new, 1992 Griff, British Racing Green.
We all worked in a series of factory units, no windows except at the back.
It was a very useful car, as the entire workforce had 30 seconds warning of his arrival at the factory and always looked really busy as he walked through the door.
He never guessed. hehe

That car got me wanting a TVR.....and I am pleased to say I was able to buy a better one. whistle

But it was the S-Series that saved TVR and made the marque more accessible to a greater number of people. tongue out

Would love a Griff though.
