Belt issues pre serp 4x

Only a few times this has happened now and I thought I will find out why and how to stop it looking at the 1st photo you can see the bottom pulley is out of line from the water pump one ? 2nd photo shows the spacers to bring the water pump pulley forward by a few millimetres so all is in line !!
Anyone else had these issues ?

In a word, no! Clever yet simple solution though.

crank and water had been in line. only problem had been the
alternator after the first one went bang. had to machine the
bracket down to get anything in line again.
