Just got in the Griff......no fuel pump priming sound and obviously won't start.

I think it took a couple of turns on the ignition to prime it a couple of weeks back if that's a clue?

Any idea where to start looking?

My first check would be the connections on the pump. Remove and clean with fine emery paper the spade connectors and pump terminals.
The pump area takes a real beating from spray and crap so not surprising the connectors corrode.

The pump requires cooling so do not be tempted to cover with anything.

Swapped the relays and checked fuse, tried powering the pump and nothing so I'm fairly sure it's the pump.

There is a fuse in the wiring near the relays which can cause this problem; mine is a preserp so not sure if it's there on all models.

Do you hear the two relays click in when you turn on the ignition? You should hear the fuel pump relay drop back out after about 4 to 5 seconds if you dont try and start the engine. This should tie in with putting power on the fuel pump for this long.
