I decided while taking this photograph that my Griffith was a keeper. I then started "THE LIST" to make it the best car for me, which was competed today :
Nitrons
Wilwood front brakes
Taraka upgrade
MBE upgrade
7" lights
Front respray
New dash

Great work by Dom @ Powers and Ian @ Sportmotive. It now just needs driving & staring at with a beer in hand. Happy Days

What a fantastic picture, and I'm not surprised that stirred you into thinking you'd keep it.
If you're in the TVRCC get it sent in to be in Sprint. Its a best picture winner for sure.

Great pic.

I'm going down a similar path with mine which is also a keeper.

Nitrons and geo setup done and going for Taraka rebuild early next year.

Still pondering over the MBE system. It's a pricey upgrade but I understand it may be well worth it in the long run. Have you noticed much of an improvement with performance and drivability so far?

Very nice indeed sir. I have a very similar list for mine which I am very slowly working through. I bet that is a very sorted car now. I am currently wondering about thinking about Taraka, the other option is a John Eales 5.2 but that is twice the price. What do you think of the Taraka vs the standard 500 engine?

We need more pictures on this thread of your car as well, you cannot say you have the all these great mods and post one picture! wink

To be honest, the MBE was a great upgrade. With hindsight, I would do that before the Taraka but I'm no engineer so don't know which was the chicken v egg !

For me, it's enough usable power that's for sure.

I was very impressed by Ian @ Sportmotive. If I lived north of Birmingham still I would use him for most work.

Billy, #7, your right, be great to meet up in 2015. IMHO, a long trip makes you really appreciate TVRs. Trouble is Northern Europe is so dull. Maybe head West or North UK ?

Simon

"Drive Espana" I might even take my Griff

You need ACT Triple or Double Plenum now to let the engine breath better

Took some photo's in the garage so not great. Note the lack of dizzy & tidy engine thanks to Dom's MBE upgrade. Nice new dash fitted by Ian @ Sportmotive along with his 7" light upgrade. Happy Days !
