Morning All,

I know Zertec ceased trading a while back but does anyone know where I may be able to acquire one of these from. Looking at adding an AFR and Oil temp gauge to the Grief but I want to leave the original instruments on the dash alone.

Have you thought about adapting the Cerb gauge pod?

The Cerb lower pods are part of quite a large piece. Also they have a centre crotch blower that would conflict with the third steering wheel spoke
I now have a Cerbera steering wheel so my balls are cool.........

I do really like the cerb gauges and the dash with the orange dials is very nice indeed. I like what looks to the be Omex shift lifts between the speedo and rev counter as well. Very nice.

If I cannot get hold a the the Zertec pod I may consider a Cerb pod.

I originaly bought the Cerbera pod and steering column,I have a suspicion that the column was spliced into the Chimaera column, somebody will come along shortly to confirm or not.The Dash was set up for a Supercharger and some of the extra dials weren't available from Speedy hence the 2 black dials from a different source,I debated going black/orange/black/orange on the dash but decided to go orange dash, black pod.
Well spotted, yes thats an Omex shift system mid dash, thought I'd keep up with the Tuscan's ! I may lose the Ball cooler for another dial.I'm a dial man, something to do with growing up as a young shaver with Dad's Jags. The dials have been subsequently back for a re-colour,the orange is now a more mild terracotta colour as per the original Cerbera colour I wanted to copy. The lower dash is now brushed Aluminium. The Steering wheel is now a Cerbera Steering wheel. Each to their own,it works for me............

Matt.... can't you just get someone to knock up a carbon fiber pod for you....... ?

I've seen home made carbon fibre dashes for the chimp cars (the curvy bit not the instrument mounting panel)

Matt, speak to me some time, I think we can design and make something in aluminium fitted to the column. All the best, Pete

Lots of interest on these from the Facebook post in the TVR buy sell swap group for these as well. David (V8GRF) has kindly offered to see if he can get hold of Clive from Zertec who made these originally to see whether he would be interested into doing another run. Assuming Clive still has the moulds it would make sense to get these from the original supplier rather than reinvent the wheel. David has seen these pods in the flesh and he remarked on how good the quality is, I understand the originals where made from Carbon Fibre. I would be interested in a composite version as I intend to finish it in leather anyway, I have never liked the OEM plastic cowl.

If this does not come to fruition I will certainly have a chat with those who have kindly offered to have a go at fabricating something from scratch. As per my original post I am keen to add an AFR gauge and oil temp gauge but keep the original TVR dash standard. I think this is a really neat solution and looks very TVR as it is similar to the Cerb binnacle.

As soon as I hear back from David I will update this post.

Many thanks for all your comments and ideas, very useful.

Matt, what about a pod in carbon fibre? I am thinking about developing a carbon fibre finished Griffith dashboard, so desiging an instrument pod would be fairly easy! Regards, Pete

I've spoken to Matthew, the pod is in hand, it's at S&D waiting to have a mould pulled. It's a complex shape as it was a handmade one off originally so taking time.
Nothing moves quickly in the Zertec world.... wink
