2 The boot rubber, doesn't go right round the boot?

Pre-accident my boot rubber only sat around the bottom 2/3rds of the boot and stopped somewhere near the front most hinge mount. All the rubbers were shot so I've replaced the lost and been trying to put a full boot rubber in but now cannot get the boot to shut flush. Seeing as we put a whole new rear on it was giving me some concerns. The fact that the hinges were smashed to buggery and I had to straighten them as best possible probably doesn't help.

Few months ago, I've replaced the boot rubber due to shot. You need to press the new one on, the whole lenght a few times round and then the lid will still sit somewhat highish, but will settle over time.
