Just been fitting my MA Tornado Chip
and had it all in checking base idle speed etc and get a Wiff of something plasticy burning
ok what tool has found its way to them flowing Manifolds:scratchin:
Go around drivers side take a peak down towards the mainfolds and hey presto.
Bloody Bonnet catch has fallen of the inside of the bonnet and is resting nicely all cuddled up and warm on the manifolds
How the hell did that fall off, any recomendations on glue to use as it gets a bit of stick as you push it shut.
Anyone else had this happen?
Might just get some nice blinging bonnet catches instead.

Fair play to the man with the yellow car !!
Some of us consider changing the dash lighting to blue, and smartening up our engine bay as fairly normal modding behaviour ....
Where as owning a stinking loud bright yellow car may be considered a little bling.
Not considered gold wheels for it !!
Nice picture .... either Le Mans or Black Tie with eyes like that !!

BB,
Get the David Beer bonnet stay and your problem will go away. Much more stable and looks much better.

Are we talking about the bonnet stay or the bonnet catch? And if it's the latter, which part has fallen off, the bonnet bit or the bulkhead bit.
The bonnet bit should be glassed into the bonnet IIRC.

The bonnet catch, looks like it was glued on before, as cant believe it was part of the FG it would have fell off like that. although can believ it should be Fibreglassed to the bonnet.
Looking for some F-off strong Glue know
as yopu can imagine it takes a bit off force.
Just hope the bonnet doesnt come up while i'm driving.

BB,
I bought my griff with the same catch loose, drove it for 350miles bricking it the whole way!! anyway i bought an epoxy resin in two tubes epoxy and hardener separate this stuff is so strong you will never have any problems again. just be sure to line the catch up correctly or your stuffed!! I removed my bonnet to do this.
Good luck
