Oil pressure sender - better alternatives?
Discussion
I've always had problems with the oil pressure sender. I've replaced it 3 times but still have issues.
They all seem to go the same way; they work fine for a few thousand miles, then start playing up; becoming intermittant, showing a low reading under acceleration etc.
It is a common problem apparently, but I was wondering if any of you out there had found a better solution than merely replacing with another unit that will go the same way.
I know it's position puts it at risk of damage from hitting speed bumps and dead animals etc, but my senders seem to play up even without any impact.
As always, my thanks in advance.
Ian.
