I'm doing a bit of a tidy up on the interior trim while the chassis is away and have noticed later cars have different detail on the carpet and bolster thing on the transmission tunnel.
Difficult to tell from photos on the web but it looks like later cars have the carpet running underneath the bolster cushion instead of the bound edge of the carpet covering this join.
Can someone post a photo cheerssmile

Hi

I've not seen the carpet laid like that before, has it had new carpets? These are some pictures of my 1996 Griffith from when I was doing a body lift, the carpet goes up underneath the bolster so it's not edged like yours is.

Cheers Colin, that's exactly what I was looking for,
No doubts about it now, it will make it a lot easier to do

Eta.
They are definitely the original carpets, I think TVR must have changed the design around the serp change over

Always thought that detail was poor, which let an otherwise good interior down a little. Actually thought it was down to a lazy detail for the installation of some new carpets in some cars. Don't think it is necessarily down to old or new, serp or pre-serp - as Ive seen it across the range.

...The carpet 'over' detail rather than the under that is.
