Camshaft specs...
Discussion
This is a similar spec to the std cam-

The 'Stealth' is pretty good too......
Alternatively, from PowersPerformance (TVR Power)
http://www.powersperformance.co.uk/store/slug/v8-c...
Although it doesn't list the 4.0L for some reason?

I'd like to go a tad hotter...give Paul at V8 Tuner a call as well, his Crower cams are excellent, I used one in my 5lt griff, and he is a tvr owner and helpful chap as well. http://www.v8tuner.co.uk/category.php?id=9

Ring Rob at V8D and ask for a 248This is what you will get https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nf10BnS6jU
But if were to do it again I'd go either 238 or roller cam
Didn't someone (Rob at V8 ?) do a summary of available cams and their benefits/draw backs a few years ago..... whilst time has changed I don't think there has been anything revolutionary in the cam world since this was written.... anyone know of a link, thought this was a sticky somewhere ?

finally here's Kent Cams specs http://www.wolfitt.com/kentcamdata.htm

Some of these high lift/longer duration cams require cut-outs in the pistons to prevent valve-piston contact - which the 4.0l may not have (unsure about pre-serps), hence why the 4.0l may not be listed...
Also - that cam comparison list fails to list the TVR885 cam, possibly due to it being Rob's direct competitor (*entirely my supposition).
As it is probably the most common uprated cam due to regular inclusion in TVR Power rebuilds (and one of the few that keeps a rebuild "OE" for those who value such things), it's omission is a great shame and makes the table an incomplete reference without the obvious yardstick IMO...
HTH,
Dom

Good evening all,
I have a '92 4.0 litre Pre-serp Griff as well and am looking at installing a new cam.
Does anyone know if a cam change etc. is possible with the engine still in the car?
Just hoping it'll be a bit easier to DIY without removing the engine.
Thanks,
Tim.

A Real Steel Typhoon would be a good upgrade and would suit your engine.
