Yesterday I tried to turn on my front fog lights for the first time.
I pushed the fog light button and the rear one came on, but not the front ones. So, there I am looking for another button (TVR don't make it easy by having no writing / signs on the buttons). Eventually I gave up.
This morning I decide to get the handbook out and see how to switch them on. Well blow me down, it doesn't mention the front fog lights in the handbook. It refers to the button which switches on the back one, but not the front.
So, my question is, how the hell do I turn on my front fog lights?
It may be that they're meant to come on when the rear one is on, in which case I've obviously got a problem.

Well they sure as hell look like fog lights! There is absolutely nothing 'normal' about a Tiv is there?
I think you'll find 
...that there's nothing normal about other cars on the road! Only the TVR is normal

Exactly - about 6 months of "fog free weather". I don;t want to have a crash and have the airbag go off in my face, do I?
OK chaps - this got me thinking at a tangent which I know is dangerous but anyway, you know how people are always complaining about the Griff's headlamps not being powerful enough, so why not put H4 bulbs in the faired in (dipped) lamps giving main and dip all in one unit and then wire the main-beam lamps up as auxiliary lamps?

Rich...H4 bulbs in the fairings would mean a large rewiring job - including some extra relays and stuff. Not impossible, but it would give little gain to go for H4 bulbs.
Most owners complain about the dipped beam being equivilent to 2 mildly adgitated glow-worms - not the high beam being a problem.
I've rewired the dipped beam for our Griff and put in some xenon bulbs. It is vastly superior to how it was. The next stage is to rewire the main beam lamps so that I can use 100W+ bulbs in them instead of the 55W ones currently there.

Thats a bit of a myth, the dips stay on with full beam, so there is only a 5w difference in the "heat" between the Griff and Chim, H1 are 55 watt, H4 are 60w on main. The Chims dip goes off when the mains come on, that would over heat things if they stayed on !! Edit, i hate it when my name is on more than one topic at the top, makes me look like a busy body !!

Thats a bit of a myth, the dips stay on with full beam, so there is only a 5w difference in the "heat" between the Griff and Chim, H1 are 55 watt, H4 are 60w on main. The Chims dip goes off when the mains come on, that would over heat things if they stayed on !! Edit, i hate it when my name is on more than one topic at the top, makes me look like a busy body !!
