Insurance again!

Just wondered who people are currently with. I'm currently with ClassicLine and tend to just pay the yearly premium when it arrives but wondered this year if it's worth shopping around, any recommendations?

I was given a leaflet for A-One insurance. Not got a quote from them yet, but they're so=upposed to be OK...

Also try A Plan. They gave me a very good quote for my modified Impreza which I will be taking up in March.

Couldn't find anyone to better Classic Line, just phoned to include european breakdown in my policy (full recovery) cost was £15.
Very impressed with the service as well.
I suppose a lot depends on your age & history.

I was with CL for 7 years no one could touch them for me.
until this year when it doubled due to Royal Sun stopping Insuring these types of cars. Now with Mannings

edited to add £727 with 3points sp30 and a crash in the last 3 years. Classic line didnt use NCB so any got 2 years worth when changing over.

No problem, I was wondering about that myself. I'll be up to 9 points myself if I can't pro-long the 3 points I have coming my way v soon.

Thought that I'd add that my current premium is around £500 so not too bad for the car but I'm sure it used to be at least a tonne 50 cheaper with limited mileage.

I've got Tescos down to £540! Still too much? (Wifes policy, old as the hills, full NCD, garaged, no convictions etc)

Mannings have done me proud.... just insured my S2 (a what I hear you say ) for £430 on classic insurance limited mileage, and when I asked about changing it for Griff was told just admin cost.

The car has to be 10yrs old, and max limited mileage 5k and a memebr of the TVRCC

I think this is great as I have no noclaims (down side of company cars) and a recent drink drive conviction.

Give them a go nothing to loose....

£440 with full TVRCC track-day cover included. The XS is a bit higher than the others but they're the cheapest by over £100!

Thanks chaps - after reading your thread I just phoned Mannings

How about this then

PEART upped my quote this year from £497.64 to £1,021.75 with £350 excess. This was after my accident write off last year.

Mannings just quoted me £497.55 with a £100 excess and £60 windscreen excess for a 5k pa limited mileage policy. I didn't hide anything, told them about the £15k write off and owned up to a a SP50 (motorway speeding)

I paid them on the spot and I'm a very happy boy.

The under writter is Royal Sun Alliance and I was quoted £645 for the Griff and £900 for the Griff and the S combined. Thats only £250 for the S which I reacon is quite keen.

Just hope I can complete it, MOT it in time for the Growl.

Interesting about Peart. I insured with them - £381 for 4k miles,garaged,in wifes name with me as a named driver. This was cheaper than her MX5 with Esure. One place I tried wouldnt insure us as it was our first time with high performance cars.
