Hi

Anyone brought Bridgstone Potenza RE002's?

Black circle have them in 205 & 225 w rated which will fit my pre cat.

Any views and on suitability please?

Have just changed for 205wRE002 on the front (93 precat 430) so cannot comment on feel yet, rears are older 245ZRS001, will be changed for 225WS002 end of season (I would not put the directional RE002' on the rears)

Not a bad tyre. Have them on since they are the only ones available in original size and correct rating, V rating not allowed over here in Germany. Anyway, quite surprised how good they are, good grip, no tramlining and very stable even on Autobahn speeds. A lot better than the Dunlop 9000s I had on before. I don't do track days but they are quite suitable for some spirited driving in the mountains.

Thanks for all replies, I'm going for the Bridgstones as they are the correct rating all round.

fitted 4 new RE002's today, transformed the handling immediately (mind you, the SO3's they replaced were from 2001!!)

I'll see how they bed in, but happy so far and a good price in correct size plus speed rating

I hope that you're right, Griffdude.!!!

I've gone for 215/40x17(7.5"), and 245/40x17(8.5"), as they are the closest rolling radius to the original 205/55x15 and 225/50x16...£270-ish, delivered

RE002's seem good, couple of hundred miles, no issue, would recommend - correct size & speed rating

When a tyre is 6 years old it's past its' best...... that is the age of the tyre, not how long it's been on the car....... there is a 4 digit code on the tyre wall ... the first two digits form the week number (01-52) and the last two represent the year..... so code "4412" represents a tyre made in week 44 of year 2012.

Couple of hundred miles on the RE002's - absolutely spot on , on a pre cat griff definitely recommended, accelerating out of corners , fast cruising 10/10

Just my feedback ( happy as Bridgstone originally fitted manufacturer)
