Took the wife out for a run in the newly arriven Griff last night ,it has to be said she does not share my enthusiasm for the marque (too many tales of woe to recount here!) but any way off weve gone, she was just starting to come around with some niceish comments "This ones nice",and "The suspensions not to hard" maybe even started to like the noise, I was well pleased then it happened.....large pot hole bang we went instant engine cut out, stopped on a particularly nasty piece of road pitch black fuel pump dead ...if only it was the inertia switch, one breakdown and a cab later frosty meal, then cab from ongar to leigh on sea great welcome back to the fold......lets hope its not too expensive!

Tough luck.. Mrs D doesn't like the TVR either. For the last 8yrs she went in it 3 times in 1 breakdown ! Last year our trip to Lake Como in the TVR was my 50th present from her, she started to mellow. Lesson = play the long game, wait for the sun & be patient !

You have gotta love TVRs, welcome back to the fold wink

If it was any other car you would be angry but with a TVR it is usually disappointment then as soon as it is fixed all is forgotten.

Same reaction from my SWMBO. She refers to it as a Flintstone car!

Anyway, she has voluntarily agreed to join me (and some mates) on a 6 day trip in May on the NC500, so let's see whether she becomes a convert! I have warned her that unless it is hissing down (does it do that in Scotland), then the roof is down ...
