Dip beam H1 upgrade bulbs
Discussion
I have been trying to find something that improves my pathetic candles but so fare with little success.
I have tried several LED so called plug and play bulbs and so for they are either too long and foul the front reflector bowl or wouldn't light up a map and 3 paces. So i have gone back to my old Osram Nightbreakers. All the HID options look like they stick too far out the back and would foul the wheel arch cover.
Has anyone had any success with aftermarket upgrade bulbs?

Have you checked you are getting a full 12v or more on the back of the bulb? A drop of a volt or two in the loom will dim the lights significantly. You have about 14 volts available on the back of the alternator if you want to run a new power line and then use a couple of relays to switch from the old dip / full feed. The Night breakers are pretty good, but I think the Philips extreme outperform them slightly but the life is quite short. I see Ring now do a +130% range as well now, but they are just as pricey as anything else out there.
