GROWL 2016 - Saturday night meal arranged

As you all know the White Horse is being sold as a dwelling so no food or drink options there so I've negotiated a finger buffet menu with Chequers (which is a posh country pub) which is over the road from Ettington. First thought is "buffet" but its a selection of food which will be placed on tables for those that have booked. The finger buffer will consist of BBQ chicken wings, min fish and chips, sausage rolls, garlic bread , ham hock & cheddar croquettes and hot dogs with fried onions at a cost of £15 per head. Not sure how it will pan out but I've been assured there will be enough food (maybe not Matt Poxon portions though), and its leisurely as it will be served at table which could be outside, weather permitting. Served at 7pm so plenty of socialising time afterwards, but bar closes at 11pm and kicking out at 11.30pm so back to Ettington after that.
Booking is in advance via Paul Bennett ([e-mail]) with the cut off date for bookings being the 23rd of June as I have to confirm numbers for food ordering. They aren't as flexible as the White Horse who over catered so I cant cater for anyone expecting to join the meal on the day although they should offer a normal menu but not while they are cooking and serving our group so you'll have to wait - and you're more than welcome to come and have a drink of course.
